Waterbodies selected for assessment
Assessment options
By default, selection of indicators applies to all waterbodies and periods. Remove the tick from this box if you wish to make individual selections for different WB types or periods.
Where waterbodies have no observations for a selected indicator, the assessment will make estimates based on observations in similar waterbodies (extrapolation). Check this box to make assessments without any extrapolated results.
Requirements for indicators include coverage of observations. E.g. data for 3 out of 6 years in the assessment period. By default, indicators with fewer observations are still included. Check this box to include only indicators meeting strict requirements.

Disclaimer
This is a decision-making and calculation support tool designed for use in the Water Authorities' status classification 2019, in accordance with the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management's regulations (HVMFS 2013: 19) and the guidance that was produced in 2018, and with the help of the overall methods developed in the research program WATERS. The tool is still under development and data retrieved from the national data hosts can be updated as needed. Note therefore that the classifications and uncertainties are not in any way “official” or final.
The tool provides status assessments with classification uncertainties for individual indicators as well as for weighted Quality Elements. The automatically calculated classifications presented in the tool must always undergo a manual test and can be modified by specially designated personnel at the water authorities.
The development of the tool has been financed via grants from the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management to the Marine Environment Institute, SMHI, SLU, Aarhus University and NIVA Denmark. The tool has been designed in dialogue with users at the Water Authorities / County Administrative Boards. Support to other users is limited and they are referred to the instructions that come with the tool or to the reports at waters.gu.se .
Indicators Available
This page shows the available results from WATERS indicator calculations.
Here you can make a simple selection of indicator results and download them as an Excel file.
To begin detailed assessment steps, including extrapolation of results and to see the integrated assessment results, with aggregation of indicators go to the Waterbodies tab to select the waterbodies you are interested in.
